November is already here, and we have a lot going on as we finish out the last six weeks of the semester at Emporia State University! Up first: we have tons of exciting changes on campus we can’t wait to share with you.
From brand-new majors, to expanded programs, to top-of-the-line equipment, we have new programs coming soon to elevate your students’ college experience. Attached is an updated list of our majors, minors and concentrations, so you and your students have the most current information on programs offered at ESU. Additionally, attached is a list of exciting programs and student opportunities we’re working on. You can find electronic versions of these attachments online at emporia.edu/programs.
Financial Aid
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is open for the 2023-2024 school year. Your students can fill out the FAFSA at any time, but we recommend they fill out their application as soon as possible to be eligible for the most aid. Emporia State University’s FAFSA school code is 001927.
Our scholarship portal is now open and there are tons of scholarship opportunities for your students! They can start the scholarship application process at emporia.edu/scholarships by clicking on the ESU Scholarship Library link. There, they can browse opportunities and get started on their scholarship applications.
Here are some big-name opportunities we encourage students to check out:
On-Campus Housing
The first part of the residential life housing application is open! Students who have been admitted can complete part one by going to hornet365.com and clicking on the “ResLife Portal” link. The second and final part of the application will open in February.
Campus Visits
We have plenty of awesome campus visit experiences left in the semester! Your students can sign up for any of the events listed below or one of our Daily Campus Visits at emporia.edu/visit.

Straight to the Point Webinar
Join us on Wednesday, November 30 from 6:30-7PM for the next Straight to the Point webinar where we’ll discuss scholarships, the housing application and any questions from parents, counselors or family members. More information can be found at emporia.edu/parents.
Holiday Hours
Emporia State University will be closed Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25. We will reopen Monday, November 28 at 8AM.
Free Applications
Free Application Month has been extended! Your students can now apply for free through Friday November 4. Students can apply online at emporia.edu/apply.
