Do you have students interested in attending a service academy? Are you interested in learning more about the unique application process and career opportunities for service academy graduates to better inform your students? The US Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), one of the five federal service academies that include West Point, Annapolis, Air Force, and Coast Guard academies, is pleased to offer the following opportunities for interested students and counselors. Midshipmen (students) at USMMA receive full tuition, room and board, and books at no cost.

Located in Kings Point, NY, we are pleased to welcome in person admissions visits to the Academy where interested students can spend a day with our Midshipmen going to classes, eating in the mess hall, and touring the campus. Detailed information on scheduling visits can be found on the Academy’s website here.

 

Not able to travel to the Kings Point campus but still interested in USMMA? The Admission’s Office is pleased to offer live information sessions for aspiring applicants via Zoom. Students can sign up for a convenient time here.

Graduates of the United States Merchant Marine Academy earn a Bachelor of Science degree, a US Coast Guard license, and a commission in the United States Armed Forces. Our graduates have an option to work as ship’s officers in the United States maritime industry or serve as commissioned officers on active duty in any branch of service.
